COLLET CHUCKS 457 WITH HIGH TIGHTENING TORQUE FOR DIN 6499 (ER) COLLETS
The Mexin 457 collet chuck is nowadays the best alternative to the other systems (by deformation or hydraulic).
Thanks to mechanical elements we get an axial (frontal) movement of the collet towards the nut.
In that way the radial and torsion effort supported by the collets in most of the collets of the market is suppressed.
Advantages:
- Elimination of radial and torsion tension on the collets.
- High fastening strength of the chuck >300Nm in a 20mm Ø, with a tightening torque of 12Nm on the wrench.
- Use of DIN 6499 (ER) collets, allowing a wide variety of uses.
- Thanks to their design we could reduce the body volume, getting a bigger stability in that way.
Advantages:
The Mexin 457 collet chuck model AD + B has an internal coolant supply.

TOOL TO PLACE AND REMOVE DIN 6499 (ER) COLLET
This simple tool allows you to place and remove easily the DIN 6499 (ER) collets from the collet chuck nut.
It is especially useful for big diameter collets.
Assembly fixture
Unique system of patented self blocking assembly fixture. In order to assemble and disassemble all kind of chucks. It is not necessary to have different kinds of assembly fixtures for every model anymore, everything can be done with only one model.

DRILL CHUCK 296 AND 297: COMBINED DRILL CHUCK FOR TOOLS WITH WELDON/WHISTLE NOTCH SHANK
The Mexin 296 drill chuck uses mechanical functions of the most advanced technology. The concentricity tolerance is lower than 0.020mm, exceeding the normal standard precision.
With a tightening torque of 12Nm, we can obtain a clamping force of 70Nm on the tool.
Due to its mechanical construction and to its innovative design, the Mexin 296 drill chuck allows to use any existing drill, with coolant holes or solid, being sure that it is always correctly cooled.
We developed several mechanisms with which by means of a conic serrated crown to 45º, we can obtain the necessary clamping force, essential to be able to take profit of the high performance of the present drills.
This clamping system allows to work with right and left turns. The compact construction of this drill chuck allowed to reduce its volume, being able to rotate at high speed. Another important characteristic is the tolerance in the concentricity, which is lower than 0,020mm. This is a very important quality with which the cutting power of the drill is used to the maximum, increasing its performance.
We recommend a tightening torque of 12Nm on the mechanism with a dynamometric wrench. In this way a strength of 70Nm can be achieved on the tool.
We developed a suitable product for the precision mechanical industry. The innovation consists on the strength and clamping force of the drill.
The Mexin 296 drill chuck can work with standard HSS drills or with the new generation carbide drills. These drills, because of their high performance, need a strong drill chuck with a big tightening torque.
Besides, it allows the coolant to pass through it and to come out by the centre of the drill, this ensuring a constant refrigeration. Without this, the drill could burn in seconds.
COMBINATIONS FOR THE REFRIGERATION
EXTERNAL REFRIGERATION
If we want to direct it through the front part, turn pistons in sense A.
As far as we know, this drill chuck is the only one which can use any existing drill on the market, both with coolant holes or solid. With a hexagonal standard wrench of 3 mm we turn the pistons in sense A or B depending on how we want the distribution of the coolant.
INTERNAL REFRIGERATION
If we want to direct it through the central part, turn pistons in sense B.
EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL REFRIGERATION
If we want to direct it simultaneously through the front and the central part, turn piston 2 in sense A and piston 1 in sense B.

TAPPING HEAD WITH COMPENSATION OF COMBINED THREAD PITCH:
COMPRESSION + TRACTION – ONLY TRACTION
Clamping with 6499 (ER) collets and internal coolant.
The MEXIN 610 tapping head is a product designed for the most intensive threading jobs. With this model is it possible to compensate the possible breakdown of the spindle feed on the threading operation. It has got the traction and compression functions, always adapting itself to the thread.
Besides, in a very simple way the compression ( C ) can be cancelled only with a turn of the ring (A). Fixing it with a safety setscrew (1). In that way, only the traction compensation remains (T), ensuring the threading depth of 0,1 mm.
The MEXIN 610 tapping head has a big versatility, the clamping of the tool is made by means of 6499 (ER) collets.
The MEXIN 610 tapping head allows the refrigeration through the toolholder towards the collet or directly towards the tap. With the ERXX collets (standard) or with the ERTXX collets (with dragging square), the coolant comes out through the collet slots, arriving regularly to the tap. With the ERCXX sealed collets we can direct the coolant to the inside of the tap, obtaining the most efficient cooling.
